Clara Landecy, Marketing Manager at HubSpot

Clara is passionate about content marketing, social networks and design. Her focus is on helping companies successfully integrate inbound marketing practices during their digital transformation and her unique experience in applying strategies on behalf of HubSpot provides a rich seam of current experience which supports the MarTech-Laboratory in understanding the evolution and developing opportunities present in and around the high growth MarTech industry.

Kevin Traynor, Founder at DeFi Conf, eComm Live and Grow Consultancy

Kevin is a serial entrepreneur and digital first C-suite marketer with significant global B2B and B2C experience. As Managing Director of a digital growth consultancy, Grow (www.GrowConsultancy.co), he supports a range of business verticals in delivering strategic value through MarTech Strategy and implementation. He also delivers Ireland’s premier eCommerce event (www.eComm.Live) as well as the newly established DeFi Conference (www.deficonf.xyz). Kevin’s network and experience make him a valuable contributor to the MarTech-Laboratory.com.

Ryan has been driving Digital Marketing & Ecommerce at STATSports since 2019. STATSports is the world’s leading on-field performance monitoring and analysis company. With over 500 clients within the elite sporting industry, including Liverpool, PSG, Miami Dolphins & the All Blacks. As Head of Ecommerce, he is leading the organisation into the Direct to Consumer (DTC) market. Connecting the industry’s most advanced sports technology with an increasingly engaged and knowledgeable consumer base who require personalised and dynamic content to support their purchasing decisions.

Chris Shannon, Co-Founder & Director at Varsity Ventures Ltd & Venture Folk Ltd | Fellow of EEUK

Chris carries significant knowledge of the entrepreneurial ecosystem locally and nationally through his prior role as Student Enterprise & Entrepreneurship Manager at Ulster University. Chris drove student enterprise and entrepreneurship programmes, business support services, stakeholder engagement and distribution of funding to student entrepreneurs through his tenure and has and continues to be a key advocate for young entrepreneurs through his directorships and wider community engagement.

ISCG membership provides students with a choice of projects to apply to, a wide network of similarly engaged and driven students, events, interviews, and recruitment opportunities.

Outline of Activity


The Irish Student Consulting Group offers business and non-profits across Ireland and NI consulting services using a pool of students across Ireland and NI. Students can build their skills and experience as they collaborate with each other to solve real problems for clients and deliver real results.

Learning Outcomes


Students will have a better understanding of the consulting processes and the stages it takes to deliver value for clients through the process. Participants gain this through:

  • Completing client projects learning from other students, project leads and clients.
  • Attending industry insight events and learning from industry professionals.
  • Networking with like-minded students and building their knowledge together Participants will also build key competencies through case studies, competitions development programmes and training run by the society.

Assessment Details

Our students who complete client projects are asked to create feedback on

  • how their project went,
  • how they fulfilled their role and,
  • how they worked with others toward developing an appropriate consulting solution.
